
Several conferences are held throughout the year which include workshops, tours, career fairs, and officer meetings. All of the conferences are open to SWE members and the general public. As part of the Sonora Region (Region B), the section representatives attend the meetings listed below.
This year, the Sonora Region Conference will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, March 1-3, 2013.
The Society of Women Engineers Sonora Region is excited to announce the 2013 Regional Conference in Salt Lake City. Within the beautiful snow-covered Wasatch Mountains, SWE will gather for a weekend filled with networking, workshops, and technical and non-technical tours.
Along with the workshops and tours, a career fair will be held on Saturday afternoon. Other opportunities during the weekend include the regional meetings, two keynote speakers, and a collegiate transition reception.
Society of Women Engineers ABJ Meeting will be held in Spokane, Washington September 21-23, 2012.
ABJ is a meeting for SWE members and non-members from regions A, B and J, and is especially useful for section and region leaders. The traditional purpose of the meeting is to discuss society issues to prepare for society conference, network with other west coast SWE members, and discuss with Society-level officers the things that are important to west coast sections. The agenda also includes professional development presentations.
